PSC participates Taiheiyo 8K Cement Plant groundbreaking ceremony

November 10, 2014 marks the day 1 of the Taiheiyo 8K Cement Plant construction with the project’s groundbreaking ceremony which was held right at the project site, Taiheiyo Plant, South Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu.

The groundbreaking rite was joined by several VIPs of Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Inc. together with PSC Engineering Director Merle P. Alviar, PSC Operations Manager Allan L. Cabahug, and members of the PSC project team.

The 734 sq m TCPI 8K Cement Plant project handled by PSC is an industrial mill building foundation which is to be accomplished in a four months time. Taiheiyo Cement Philippines is determined to invest its efforts first and foremost on the foundation of the said project.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Seiichi Nakamura, Taiheiyo Cement Philippines SVP and Plant Manager, pointed out that it is due to PSC’s credibility of being the leading construction company in the Visayas and Mindanao region that influenced their decision of choosing PSC for the undertaking. He added that PSC has been in the industry for quite some time and the quality of work has long been trusted already.

After the revealing speech and warm welcome, Mr. Hiromi Fujimori, TCP Engineering Division Managing Director, delivered his message laying emphasis on his expectations on PSC’s doing the project. He especially hopes and expects its contractor to complete the work without any accident.

PSC Operation Manager Mr. Cabahug, then gave thanks to TCPI for choosing and trusting the company, and promises to make every effort to deliver the project on time with safety measures not overlooked along the way.
